Hello and welcome! My name is Al Seward, and I'm a Certified Concealed Carry and Home Defense Fundamentals Instructor. I'm glad you're here. I work with many people who are new to firearms or who want to feel more confident and capable, and I take pride in helping them move forward with clarity and skill. Over the years, I've learned something important: real personal safety doesn't begin with the gun—it begins with your mindset.

A firearm is a valuable tool, but it's only one piece of a complete safety plan. True preparedness means looking at your safety in a holistic way—your awareness, your decision-making, your ability to avoid dangerous situations, and yes, your proficiency with your firearm all matter. When these elements work together, you build a level of confidence that goes far beyond simply operating a gun.

I want to equip you with the knowledge, skills, and mindset needed to be a responsible firearm owner and to protect yourself and your loved ones if the moment ever calls for it.
